We’ve made a list featuring the best genre movies of 2018 in the Horror, Thriller, and Sci-fi genres. Basically, it’s a list featuring the best among those we’ve watched and reviewed. Check out our 2018 list right here!

During 2018, we’ve reviewed more movies than ever: 139 reviews.  That’s one review every three days and we have just one person writing all the reviews. Also, it’s been a good year. We’ve given a record high number of 4 and 5-star reviews in 2018.

We do also review a few TV shows or mini-series, but most of our reviews (by far!) are movie reviews.

The best genre movies of 2018

Since we do have so many great genre movies to choose from in 2018, we’ve split them up into sub-genres. All of which we’ve invented for the very purpose of making this list. That’s just the kind of creative free-spirited website Heaven of Horror is.

Hereditary (2018) Horror

The best genre movies of 2018 with 5 out of 5 stars

First things first, so we’re going to start with all the movies we gave a top rating in 2018. That means 5 out of 5 stars – or blood splatters as it’s the case with our website.

You can click the movie title next to each subgenre to read our review.
This should also make it clear why that particular movie won that particular subgenre title.

I usually keep up-to-date with all the horror news, and make sure Heaven of Horror share the best and latest trailers for upcoming horror movies. I love all kinds of horror. My love affair started when I watched 'Poltergeist' alone around the age of 10. I slept like a baby that night and I haven't stopped watching horror movies since. The crazy slasher stuff isn't really for me, but hey, to each their own. I guess I just like to be scared and get jump scares, more than being disgusted and laughing at the grotesque. Also, Korean and Spanish horror movies made within the past 10-15 years are among my absolute favorites.
