Best Horror Movies 2021 is a list we almost didn’t make for this past year. Simply because we had too many new movies, we needed to watch and review for the beginning of 2022.

However, to our very pleasant surprise, several readers started contacting us and requesting a “Best Horror Movies” for the past year. Obviously, we can’t resist that kind of flattery, so here we go!

In 2021, we reviewed more genre movies and series than ever before: A whopping 340 titles!

Since we do have so many great genre movies to choose from in 2021, we’ve split them up into sub-genres. All of which we’ve invented for the very purpose of making this list. In other words; Same procedure as every year!

Let’s begin this “Best of 2021” with our top-rated horror movies of 2021.

Best Thrillers of 2021

Just as we love our horror movies, we do also love a good thriller. Let’s face it, a good thriller has wide appeal and can tell some amazing and important stories. Here’s our best thrillers of 2021:

Best Christmas Thriller

Silent Night – Movie Review (4/5)

Best Revenge Thriller

Bull – Fantasia Review (4/5)

Best Sci-fi Thriller

Night Drive – Movie Review (4/5)

I usually keep up-to-date with all the horror news, and make sure Heaven of Horror share the best and latest trailers for upcoming horror movies. I love all kinds of horror. My love affair started when I watched 'Poltergeist' alone around the age of 10. I slept like a baby that night and I haven't stopped watching horror movies since. The crazy slasher stuff isn't really for me, but hey, to each their own. I guess I just like to be scared and get jump scares, more than being disgusted and laughing at the grotesque. Also, Korean and Spanish horror movies made within the past 10-15 years are among my absolute favorites.
