It looks like another great horror-comedy is coming our way with They’re Watching
UPDATE: Our review of They’re Watching is up and you can read it right here
When you watch this trailer, you know you’ve hit gold once they announce that the story comes from the writers of Spongebob Squarepants and Call of Duty Black Ops II – they’ve even included it on the poster, which is pretty damn perfect in itself as well.
They’re Watching comes from writer-director duo Micah Wright and Jay Lender. They usually work on video games and cartoons. This is their very first time writing or directing a feature film and it certainly looks like they’ve had fun with it.
It’s a House Hunters inspired horror movie and the official plot description is:
An American TV crew gets trapped in a centuries-old web of revenge, horror, and blood, when their home improvement show is attacked by angry Eastern European villagers out to kill the show’s star.
If the names in the cast aren’t too familiar, most of their faces probably will be, since the cast of They’re Watching consists mainly of actors, who regularly work on TV. For the record, this is by no means a bad thing in my book!
The cast includes: David Alpay (Quantico and The Vampire Diaries), Brigid Brannagh (Major Crimes and Army Wives) and Kris Lemche (Haven and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
They’re Watching will be in US theaters and on demand March 25, 2016.
