Finale is a Danish Horror Movie that was just selected for the UK’s biggest genre film festival FRIGHTFEST 2019. Heaven of Horror has been following this movie since productions wrapped years ago.

Finale is a Danish horror movie that was finally released in Scandinavia in November 2018 through Blockbuster. The now-defunct movie rental business has been turned into a streaming service, which is doing pretty well.

One reason behind the success of Blockbuster is their willingness to focus on genre movies. Not only do they acquire horror movies for On Demand screening or digital ownership. Blockbuster also sponsors horror film festivals in both Denmark and Finland.

Their most recent gamble was the horror movie Finale which was caught up in studio limbo. We visited the set as they were wrapping up and shooting some promotional teasers.

Finale to screen at Frightfest in Glasgow

Since then we’ve experienced from the sidelines how horror movies have to struggle even more than other productions simply because of their genre affiliation. Now, things are finally looking better for the struggling little horror movie.

Finale will make its UK premiere at Frightfest in Glasgow on March 2, 2019.

This is a major stepping stone for a horror movie that has been years in the making. The cast and crew have supported the project all the way, so this must be such a sweet relief for them.

At last, people get to see their efforts. And on the big screen no less.

The director of the Danish horror movie, Søren Juul Petersen, will be attending the festival as well. Frightfest will be opening with Jonas Åkerlund’s Lords of Chaos on February 28, 2019.

The plot for Finale is:

During the night of the biggest sports final of the year, two girls working at a gas station experience strange incidents. Is it just staged pranks or is it something of a more aggressive intent?

The horror movie stars Anne Bergfelt, Karin Michelsen, Damon Younger, Kristoffer Fabricius, Mads Koudal, Kim Sønderholm, and Gustav Scavenius.

I usually keep up-to-date with all the horror news, and make sure Heaven of Horror share the best and latest trailers for upcoming horror movies. I love all kinds of horror. My love affair started when I watched 'Poltergeist' alone around the age of 10. I slept like a baby that night and I haven't stopped watching horror movies since. The crazy slasher stuff isn't really for me, but hey, to each their own. I guess I just like to be scared and get jump scares, more than being disgusted and laughing at the grotesque. Also, Korean and Spanish horror movies made within the past 10-15 years are among my absolute favorites.
