Happy Death Day releases its first trailer. The movie was formerly known as Half to Death and you definitely want to check out this first trailer for the Groundhog Day-like horror movie.

Happy Death Day finally has a trailer out now! If you think the title sounds new or unfamiliar, then that’s to be expected.

Here’s why; Blumhouse has just now retitled the upcoming horror movie Half To Death. Now the title is Happy Death Day, which is bound to raise some eyebrows. However, it does seem more in sync with the tone of voice in the movie.

You’ll know what we’re getting at when you watch the newly released teaser trailer:

Or maybe you’ll understand simply from knowing it’s directed by Christopher Landon. He was the crazy mastermind, who directed Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.

This time around Christopher Landon is directing a story, which revolves around a college student who relives the day of her murder. And she will do so until she discovers the identity of her killer. So yeah, she just can’t really win!

The very unfortunate lead role is played by Jessica Rothe (Mary + Jane).

Happy Death Day will be released on October 13, 2017.

Just in time for Halloween and on a Friday the 13th.  A win-win in the world of horror!

I usually keep up-to-date with all the horror news, and make sure Heaven of Horror share the best and latest trailers for upcoming horror movies. I love all kinds of horror. My love affair started when I watched 'Poltergeist' alone around the age of 10. I slept like a baby that night and I haven't stopped watching horror movies since. The crazy slasher stuff isn't really for me, but hey, to each their own. I guess I just like to be scared and get jump scares, more than being disgusted and laughing at the grotesque. Also, Korean and Spanish horror movies made within the past 10-15 years are among my absolute favorites.
