Dominic Monaghan and Ksenia Solo headline the psychological thriller Pet, where nothing is as it seems. Watch the first trailer right here.

We’ve been very excited about Pet ever since it premiered at SXSW and the hype began. Now we finally get a trailer and it’s looking really good.

Also, you just know the movie has great potential when the trailer leaves you wanting so much more.

Pet stars Dominic Monaghan (Lost) and Ksenia Solo (Lost Girl, Orphan Black), who both seem to have plenty to work with. In fact, they both seem very intense and just perfect for their respective roles. Of course, this is just based on the trailer, but still…

Anyway, before we get to the trailer, here’s the plot for Pet:

Pet (2016)A psychological thriller about a man who bumps into an old flame and subsequently becomes obsessed with her, leading him to hold her captive underneath the animal shelter where he works. But what will the victim have in store for her assailant?

Pet is directed by Carles Torrens (ABCs of Death 2.5 segment “M is for Mom” ) with a screenplay by Jeremy Slater (The Exorcist TV show).

Jeremy Slater has just won Best Screenplay at the 49th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival for this script. For us, Sitges has always been a sure sign that it’s really good, so we’re especially excited about that.

The film is released in limited theaters and VOD on December 2, and is out on home video on December 27.

I usually keep up-to-date with all the horror news, and make sure Heaven of Horror share the best and latest trailers for upcoming horror movies. I love all kinds of horror. My love affair started when I watched 'Poltergeist' alone around the age of 10. I slept like a baby that night and I haven't stopped watching horror movies since. The crazy slasher stuff isn't really for me, but hey, to each their own. I guess I just like to be scared and get jump scares, more than being disgusted and laughing at the grotesque. Also, Korean and Spanish horror movies made within the past 10-15 years are among my absolute favorites.
