Breaking In stars Gabrielle Union in what looks like a very intense home invasion thriller. And we got the first trailer for you right here.

Gabrielle Union (Being Mary Jane) stars in Breaking In as the kick-ass mother, Shaun Russell. In the movie, she has to fight off bad guys during a home invasion to protect her family.

In fact, this is literally all we get in the official plot description on IMDb: “A woman fights to protect her family during a home invasion.”

Also, we have Ajiona Alexus (Empire) perfectly cast as the daughter and Seth Carr (Marvel’s Black Panther) as the son.

The bad guys are played by Billy Burke (Twilight) and Richard Cabral (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones).

V for Vendetta director

Director of the home invasion thriller is James McTeigue. He also directed the brilliant adaptation of V for Vendetta starring Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving. That movie was actually his directing debut!

The script was written by Ryan Engle, who’s quite a busy guy these days. He also co-wrote the script for The Commuter and the upcoming monster movie Rampage.

Breaking In will be released in US theaters around Mother’s Day.

The movie also boasts a perfect tagline: “Payback is a mother!”
