Darren Lynn Bousman has made movies like Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, 11-11-11 and The Barrens, now he’s back with the haunted house horror-thriller Abattoir, and we’ve got a clip for you.

UPDATE: We’ve inserted a full trailer for Abattoir at the bottom of this story!

The movie stars Joe Anderson, Jessica Lowndes, Michael Paré, among other. And also, one of our horror favorites, Lin Shaye (Insidious movies), is part of the cast, so that alone is enough to watch out for the initial reviews that should soon be coming, when Abattoir premieres at the Los Angeles Film Festival next month.

Here a summary of the film:

An investigative reporter works to solve the mystery of a haunted house constructed from rooms of the deceased.

Bousman had the following comment regarding the clip to Shock Till You Drop:

“This scene is a quiet moment that best visualizes the taking of a moment in time. A tragedy took place in this environment a few days earlier, and this scene shows our two main characters returning to the house looking for closure only to find more holes in their life! Literally and figuratively.”

Abattoir will premiere on Tuesday June 7th at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

NEW! Here’s a FULL trailer:

I usually keep up-to-date with all the horror news, and make sure Heaven of Horror share the best and latest trailers for upcoming horror movies. I love all kinds of horror. My love affair started when I watched 'Poltergeist' alone around the age of 10. I slept like a baby that night and I haven't stopped watching horror movies since. The crazy slasher stuff isn't really for me, but hey, to each their own. I guess I just like to be scared and get jump scares, more than being disgusted and laughing at the grotesque. Also, Korean and Spanish horror movies made within the past 10-15 years are among my absolute favorites.
