One year and many tears later
With The Accident season 2, we pick up the story one year after the tragedy that impacted four families. We follow their struggle to overcome the pain and loss, which is still a big part of many lives. Not only did even more people die in the aftermath, but we also have two main characters in prison.
In this second season, even more secrets will be revealed – and even a few new characters.
Can these families truly move on with their lives? If so, how?! For each person, it comes down to choices between forgiveness, redemption, and revenge!
How else can you deal with something that caused so much pain and guilt? One thing is for certain: secrets can shift even the strongest alliances.
Returning cast members and the newcomers of The Accident
The second season of The Accident returns with the same cast that made it a huge Netflix success. That means the Mexican Netflix series still stars actors such as Alberto Guerra, Ana Claudia Talancón, Sebastián Martínez, and Eréndira Ibarra.
In season 2, they are joined by Bárbara de Regil, who plays Tamara “La Pantera”. She’s a mysterious and charismatic woman who returns to play a part in El Charro’s life. As such, she will become a key part of season 2, where each character must discover how they can move on with their lives after the tragedy.
Of course, many more actors are in the cast, and virtually anyone who survived the events of season 1 is back for The Accident 2.

As with the first season, the creator of The Accident (org. title: Accidente) remains Leonardo Padrón. He is also one of the writers of the six episodes in season 2. The other writers include Doris Seguí, Christian Jiménez, and Carlos Eloy Castro. Directors on these new episodes are Gracia Querejeta and Carlos Villegas.
With season 1 of The Accident, Netflix struck gold as it completely won over international audiences. It debuted in the number 1 spot on the global non-English language series Top 10. It amassed an impressive 10.4 million views over its premiere week. In other words, it was only a matter of time before a second season would come out.
These six new episodes deliver on bringing more of a conclusion to the story. Season 1 was full of drama and pain, which season 2 also has plenty of. However, before the end of episode 6, it does also feel like an ending. Or a new beginning, even. Of course, a spin-off is always an option… Netflix never abandons a success, so we’ll see what happens from here.
The Accident Season 2 premieres on Netflix on December 10, 2025.
