PARADISE Season 2 is finally beginning on Hulu, and you have a lot to look forward to. This is a second season that is every bit as good as the first one. We’ll see what happens to both those inside the bunker and the ones struggling outside. Also, we’ll finally learn what happened to those outside the bunker when the apocalyptic event happened. PARADISE Season 2 on Hulu is beginning, and you do not want to wait and risk spoilers. The opening episode won’t be full of spoilers, as this mostly sets the stage for what happened to those outside the bunker as the catastrophe happened. I loved that they went with this strong and bold opening episode.

Overall, the cast of season 2 will feature many new characters and so many amazing actors, so you have a lot to look forward to. This review is based on screeners of the first seven episodes of season 2. Out of eight, I might add, so they’re really tormenting this reviewer.

Let’s start somewhere else…

With this second season, we will continue to follow the (surviving) characters in the bunker known as “Paradise”, but we will also meet many new characters. Now, before you start to feel overwhelmed, I want to highlight that this is done in such an amazing way. Often, with an episode dedicated to a group. Including the group where  Xavier’s wife, Teri, has been all along.

In fact, this opening episode of season 2 reminded me of that amazing episode 3 from The Last of Us, where we suddenly followed the survivalist Bill. I mean, sure, we all want to know what happened with Xavier (Sterling K. Brown), but they’re starting with something else. Don’t worry, though, we will get plenty of Xavier in this second season as well.

Of course, you also realize that this first episode of season 2 will tie into the overall core plot of the second season. I mean, this is a Dan Fogelman creation, and that man is a genius at tying various events and characters together. Both in expected and very unexpected ways, but always with some organic red thread to make sure we’re on board for the ride.

And I am still very much on board for Paradise Season 2.

Paradise: Season 2 – Review | Hulu Series

Xavier’s mission to find Teri

When season 1 of Paradise ended, it was with Xavier leaving the Paradise bunker to go find his wife, Teri (Enuka Okuma). The true leader of the bunker, Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond (Julianne Nicholson), had revealed that they had gotten a message from the outside, where Teri was searching for Xavier. Off he went to find his wife, just as season 1 ended.

Well, the search for Teri will not be an easy task. Xavier may be a skilled agent and bodyguard, but he does not know this post-apocalyptic version of the world. Of course, Xavier will still manage, but some hard-earned lessons will help him, while his faith in humanity will also continue to serve him well.

Meanwhile, there are intense power struggles back in Paradise. Some are acting rebelliously, while others are continuing on whatever mission they have been handed. Others are doing their own thing. Especially Dr. Gabriela Torabi (Sarah Shahi), who is getting increasingly weary of Jane Drsicoll (Nicole Brydon Bloom).

As she should be, since we know from season 1 that Jane is an actual weapon. Also, we will get more backstory on Jane, which I loved as it plays directly into her actions in Paradise season 2.

Watch season 2 of Paradise 2 on Hulu

Obviously, Paradise remains the creation of Dan Fogelman, who also executive produces the series. I will readily admit that I am always a little nervous about starting a second season of a show I enjoyed. Somehow, I just try to prepare myself for a letdown. Well, not only did Paradise not let me down, it brought on some amazing surprises.

It was wonderful to see characters evolve (and get backstory on some), as this meant seeing actors I always enjoy. The core cast of this Hulu series is still led by Sterling K. Brown, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, and Charlie Evans. Also, James Marsden and Jon Beavers still show up in many flashbacks.

Among the new characters, you can look forward to seeing strong portrayals by Shailene Woodley (Killer Heat), Thomas Doherty (The Invitation), and Cameron Britton (“Ed Kemper” on Mindhunter). Well, there are many more, but you’ll get to meet them in your own time.

The final episode of season 2 (episode 8) will be released on March 4, 2026, and I am desperately hoping we’ll get a season 3 as well.

Paradise Season 2 begins with the first three episodes on Hulu on February 23, 2026, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter.

– I write reviews and recaps on Heaven of Horror. And yes, it does happen that I find myself screaming, when watching a good horror movie. I love psychological horror, survival horror and kick-ass women. Also, I have a huge soft spot for a good horror-comedy. Oh yeah, and I absolutely HATE when animals are harmed in movies, so I will immediately think less of any movie, where animals are harmed for entertainment (even if the animals are just really good actors). Fortunately, horror doesn't use this nearly as much as comedy. And people assume horror lovers are the messed up ones. Go figure!
