BODYCAM on Shudder is a Found-Footage Horror movie premiering on Friday the 13th of March. It’s a real mindf**k of a movie, and I mean that as a compliment. You can watch it for exactly what’s shown or allow the deeper symbolism to come into play. Either way, it’s a very entertaining new genre movie from Brandon Christensen. BODYCAM is a Shudder Found-Footage Horror movie coming to you on Friday the 13th of March. For anyone familiar with Branodn Christensen, this latest horror movie lives up to the quality I’ve certainly come to expect from him. I always enjoy that his movies often deal with some deeper subject, while also allowing any viewer to just watch his productions as efficient and scary movies.
With a runtime of just 75 minutes, this doesn’t run on for too long and manages to keep its audience engaged throughout. Personally, I both like the supernatural elements and feel it could have been strong without them. That’s just a personal preference and shouldn’t keep anyone from watching it. Bodycam is a solid choice for the second Friday the 13th of 2026.

Mental illness, drug addicts, and monsters
When Bodycam first began, I wasn’t sure whether the main “villain” of this story would be someone suffering from a mental illness, drug addiction, or actual supernatural monsters. As it turns out, it is a little bit of everything. And we get a firsthand experience of this madness via the bodycams of two police officers.
The two police officers respond to a domestic dispute, but as soon as they step into the house, it’s clear that something is off. Very off. Soon, everything will escalate in ways they couldn’t possibly have predicted. A tragic accident will evolve into a night of pure horror for the two cops.
In an effort to avoid any consequences, one of them makes a lot of terrible decisions. The other is caught up in this, so when they realize their bodycams recorded everything, it goes from bad to much worse. Not least, as anyone who may watch the bodycam footage is the least of their worries. They also need to get out of this neighborhood that seems to have gotten a tight grip on them.
A great way to do found footage
With a plot like the one in Bodycam, you have almost ideal conditions for a found footage movie. I mean, the cameras are literally attached to the two main characters, so not only do you see what they see, but you also get to see how they view each other.
And, not least, how they experience the supernatural part of this nightmarish night on duty.
In the two lead roles, as the responding police officers, we have Jaime M. Callica as Officer Jackson, who grew up in the area (and has a mother still living there), and Sean Rogerson as Officer Bryce. The latter is a happily married man about to become a father – and terrified of messing things up for this family.
Also, if you pay attention, you’ll notice Keegan Connor Tracy (Night of the Reaper) in a key role!
Watch Bodycam on Shudder this Friday the 13th
Bodycam was directed by Brandon Christensen, who also co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Ryan Christensen. As such, it’s horror movie business as usual, as the two have made a few delicious horror productions together. In fact, this is their third, following the 2023 movie The Puppetman and the 2025 movie Night of the Reaper.
When Brandon Christensen isn’t working with his brother, Ryan, he has made movie magic with another of our favorites here at Heaven of Horror: Colin Minihan. That’s why you may also recognize this horror filmmaker’s name from productions such as Still/Born (2017) and Z (2019).
Personally, I also really like the 2021 movie Superhost. That one was a movie Brandon Christensen wrote and directed as a solo project. Whether you’re familiar with Brandon Christensen as a horror filmmaker or not, Bodycam is a good choice for this Friday the 13th, so do check it out on Shudder.
Bodycam is streaming on Shudder on Friday the 13th of March, 2026.
