The writer/director of Buried and ATM, Chris Sparling, is back with a new horrific movie called Mercy, and you can watch the trailer right here.

Mercy stars James Wolk (The Stanford Prison Experiment), Caitlin FitzGerald (It’s Complicated), Tom Lipinski (Labor Day), Dan Ziskie (War of the Worlds), Michael Godere, Michael Donovan, Dion Graham, and Constance Baron.

XYZ Films is producing the movie that was already bought by Netflix in September 2015, so we know that it will probably receive a worldwide premiere date later this year.

In the meantime Mercy will get its world premiere at the LA Film Festival on June 4th 2016 – tickets are still available at the time of writing this.

The plot is this:

When four estranged brothers return home to say their last goodbye to their dying mother, Grace, hidden motivations reveal themselves. The family’s already tenuous bonds are tested when secrets from Grace’s past resurface, causing a restless night to go terribly awry as the brothers are thrust into a fight for their own survival.

Mercy (2016)

I usually keep up-to-date with all the horror news, and make sure Heaven of Horror share the best and latest trailers for upcoming horror movies. I love all kinds of horror. My love affair started when I watched 'Poltergeist' alone around the age of 10. I slept like a baby that night and I haven't stopped watching horror movies since. The crazy slasher stuff isn't really for me, but hey, to each their own. I guess I just like to be scared and get jump scares, more than being disgusted and laughing at the grotesque. Also, Korean and Spanish horror movies made within the past 10-15 years are among my absolute favorites.
